“You’re worth recovery.” This is a statement I use to close my sessions, and it holds deep meaning in my work. I am passionate about helping clients build self-esteem, confidence, and a strong sense of authenticity in their lives.
I have worked with a wide range of populations, supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and other mental health conditions. Throughout my experience, I have found that many clients struggle with feelings of unworthiness or self-doubt, which can make it difficult to fully engage in the therapeutic process.I end sessions with “You’re worth recovery” to remind clients that they are seen, valued, and supported as they continue moving forward in their healing journey.

I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and have a passion for helping children and families strengthen their relationships, improve behavior, and build healthy communication patterns. Kimberly (Kim) Havens, IADC
Hello, my name is Kim Havens and I’m supposed to tell you a little bit about me. Well, I’ve been a substance abuse counselor for about 26 years. I was born and raised on a farm in Northeast Iowa. I graduated college at Upper Iowa University with a major in Psychology.
Historically, my clients tell me that they appreciate my straightforward, honest approach. I will never lie to you, even if the truth is hard to hear. There is enough lying in the illness, we don’t need it in the recovery.
Twenty-six years is a long time. In those 26 years I have worked in every level of care with folks in every stage of change. I’ve learned a lot in that amount of time, mostly that the choices are yours to make. I can’t make them for you. After all it’s your life, your goals. What I can do is help support you and guide you through the hoops, obstacles, and difficulties you may run into while trying to achieve the goals you’ve set and I’d be honored to try.
Cassandra (Cassie) Hindman, LMHC
Cassie Hindman, LMHC
I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Montana and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. I bring more than 12 years of experience working in Mental Health Corrections, where I developed a deep understanding of human behavior, trauma, and resilience in some of the most challenging environments.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively with individuals experiencing anxiety, PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I have an extensive work history working with clients who have suicidality and self-harming behaviors. This background has shaped my ability to stay grounded, patient, and attuned, even when clients are navigating intense emotions or complex mental health needs. I approach therapy with a blend of steadiness and compassion, creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
My work is informed by evidence‑based practices and a collaborative style. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel supported in exploring their experiences at a pace that feels right for them. Whether someone is managing long‑standing mental health challenges or facing a difficult life transition, my goal is to help them build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
